Neodymium Production

At rare earth elements fractionation neodymium is concentrated with light lanthanides and may be extracted with praseodymium, in mixture of praseodymium (III) and neodymium (III) which is called didymium. Neodymium metal is electrolyzed from anhydrous halogenides fusion. The electrolysis of NdF₃ or NdCl₃ fusion with additives of halogenides lithium, potassium, calcium and barium is processed by 1000°C and cathode current density 4.7 Amp/sm² with graphite cathode.
